Oct 2011  Shamus Haws received the great honor of being chosen as an AQHA Professional Horseman.

March 2011   Shamus Haws was named "Utahs Best Horse Trainer" for 2011, after winning the Utah Horse Trainers Challenge at the Utah Horse Expo.  Shamus & his 2 year old filly he calls "Norma Jean" dominated the entire event.  He won the overall competition by over 70 points & he also won the peoples choice category by over 300 votes.  

Jan 2010 Shamus Haws will be the headlining clinician at the 2010 Utah Horse Expo in March.  He will be demonstrating the techniques that he uses to start colts, while training 2 un-broke 2 yr old horses during this 3 day horse Expo. 

Jan 2009 Shamus was recently chosen to be one of Utahs top four Trainers, who will participate in the Utah Horse Trainers Challenge.  On Jan.10th, he picked up his randomly chosen two year old horse, to start and train for sixty days. The winner will be determined partly by the general public at the Utah Horse Expo in March 2009.  We would greatly appreciate all those who show their support for Shamus by attending the Utah Horse Expo on March. 13- 15, 2009 at the South jordan Equestrian Center and voting.
