Join Shamus Haws as he shares the philosophies that he uses to start a three year old gelding that came to him with only very basic halter training. He will demonstrate the techniques he has learned to help guide this young horse along on days one, three, and five. Shamus believes that an important part of being a good horseman is adjusting to fit the situation. Knowing that each horse he starts and rides has a different disposition and temperament, he always tries to build a trusting and willing partnership by keeping the horses needs at the forefront.
